Poets Are True Prophets Poem by Hebert Logerie

Poets Are True Prophets

Many Poets
Are Prophets
In a literary fashion
They can feel the passion
They can see
What you cannot see
They can feel
What you cannot feel
They can smell
What you cannot smell
They know
What you don't know
They get what you don't get
They rarely forget
They ponder
And wonder
They smile, weep, cry
And they don't lie
Poets are never afraid to die
They fight
For what's right
For freedom, equality
Justice and liberty
Poets love every season
For no reason
Many Poets
Are true Prophets
They hate talking about race
Religion, money and color
Everybody should have a place
On earth, behind a door
Love unites and hate divides
We are one. We must chase the flies
And flee from all odious lies
Which can hamper the rides.
