Like a snake that scarce can shed skin
Be grief that can't in time get lean,
A mind that cannot change
In time loses its range;
Such a snake's known to die,
Such a grief would well nigh
Get the griever soon grind,
Such a mind is no mind.
And what if it were a poet's?
He for sure would get readers' goat!

Philosophical musings stressing upon the need for a man to discern and acknowledge changes taking place around him and be ready to adapt or transform himself accordingly. It reminds me of several poets who are known for their verses on 'Neeti' e.g. Bharthari (Neeti Shatak) , Raskhan, Bihari etc. Thanks, Aniruddha Sir.
