Poisoned Sweets

Rating: 5.0

All these worldly
Peace and happiness
Are poisoned sweets,
Go not with all these,
Wholesale ruin is written
In it.
Peace and happiness if
You are searching truly, my dear,
They are within, see
With love and in truthful eyes.

Outside world is sand and water, my dear
And you are searching oil in it,
You are searching sparks from the moon,
And wandering for darkness from the sun!

True, peace and happiness can only be found in ourselves. I think the world itself cannot guarantee us tru peace if we fail to find the peace we desire in ourselves. Beautifully penned. -Matthias Pantaleon

nice choice of words, deep but still simply beautiful. spiritual things should be needed instead of worldly things.
