Don't call me a hero
For I was doing my job
Each shift that I worked
Sometimes it was routine
Don't judge I did it with ease
Sometimes it was difficult
When it took all I could muster
So when you look at me now
Don't think of me as someone
Who was better than ordinary
Whilst I was wearing the blue
I just did what I had to do.
