Politely Observing - Lincoln Park Zoo Poem by Ima Ryma

Politely Observing - Lincoln Park Zoo

Dad, Kwan, and son, Mondika, do
Share some people watching pursuit
Here at home in Lincoln Park Zoo.
The gorilla pair get a hoot
Observing how humans are such
A funny species, young and old.
Watching them, it doesn't take much
For the wild and weird to unfold.
Dad's often told Mondika that
Touchy can be the human race.
They do not like to be laughed at,
So try hard to keep a straight face.

So both Dad and son try to be
Watching very seriously.
