Polly And Paul Poem by Joy Thacker

Polly And Paul

Polly called off her wedding- To her childhood sweetheart Paul- -They had set their wedding date- For early in the Fall (2) - -Polly wanted a one woman man- -But Paul wanted three or four- Polly told him goodbye forever- And then she walked out the door- -(3) - She said I'm taking a flight to Texas- Even though it breaks my heart- -You aren't the man for me- Forever we must part- -(4) Polly cried on the flight texas- -She felt so sad and blue- But she didn't want to marry- Someone who couldn't be true.

Sad, although Polly did the right thing. Thanks for sharing, Joy
