Pongal, The Tamil Harvest Festival



Pongal a four-day Tamil harvest festival
With one day after another
Taking me back to my village home,
The harvest festivity of the country
Offering of new things to the household deity first,
A trend and tradition
With do's and dont's
Which we the townsmen are forgetting
The conventional rules
For customs and rituals.
