Poor Willy Poem by Donald R Wolff JR

Poor Willy

The Dark it came unfair
There was no logic for poor Willy
All the years of being with his sight
He lived and never cared

For now the days grow dark for Willy
It has given him such fear
For life to live is still years, plenty
The darkness is so near

He prays to gods he never knew
He begs for one more year
His mind is lost in ever darkness
When last he seen so clear

Willy hears his heart beat in the silence
Night came forevermore
And now he weeps before his slumber
His vision is no more
