Popular Demand Poem by Leanna Page Markgraf

Popular Demand

You came into my life
and sucked out my soul.
You brainwashed me
right out of my own control.
Ill play along
but it never turns out right.
In the end you will lose
you are no longer worth the fight.
The cold look in your eyes
and the icy touch to my hand.
You could only show a love
that I will never understand.
But i will only be fooled once
by a love so mediocre
Eventually the queen
gets tired of the joker.
The mind games you play
makes you less of a man.
All to make a name
but just fooled by popular demand.
