In my twilight years you came, so true
With your sweet beckoning love songs,
My gray skies turned to vibrant blue
As life colors led to where I belong.
Like the artist that knew his masterpiece
You drew lines to my heart with care,
Graced it with soft hues in loving ease,
That blended all the pieces there.
A portrait of love frames us together
And you still hold the brush I am sure,
Each day adds a shade of happiness where
We perfect this picture of a love that endures.
