Poverty: You Have To Hate It Enough Poem by Cynthia Buhain-baello

Poverty: You Have To Hate It Enough

You have to hate it enough
In order to get out of it,

Getting out of a quicksand is tough
But the struggle will be worth it.

It's a quixotic battle of will
A conquest of fears and defeat,

But you fight so that you may fulfill
What in Life you want to meet.

Detest with every fiber in you
This plague that is called Poverty,

In hostility do all you can do
To get out of it in victory.

No one else will throw in the rope
No one else will rain manna down,

You alone must stand up, not grope
And with Persistence, turn it around.

Work, for you have able hands
Stand, for you have your own two feet!

Unless you are mute or blind, understand
All good deeds will earn a profit.
