Portraits Of Imagery Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Portraits Of Imagery

Roaming through measures of music, its rhythms bringing a smile
to this poet's face, heart, soul and intellect.

Capturing definitions and meanings that have been picked up along
the way, like seashells being admired and picked up by children.

They are so innocent and fascinated with the world around them,
gathering, learning, testing, being challenged by their surroundings.

Through nature finding portraits of imagery that many adults never
see, yet children innocently telling grown-ups their version of life.

Always asking why, never satisfied, their young minds wanting to know
everything there is to know.

Unfortunately, parents at times get annoyed with all their questions
and walk away, ignoring them.

Although some parents do explain to their children, loving the fact
that they are curious and have an intense satisfaction for learning
more about the world around them.
