Powdered Dust Created By The Footsteps Of The High Breed Horse!
Shall we take the powdered dust - created
by the footsteps of the high breed horse,
‘Kanavattam’ of the Pandiya king,
whose golden chariot adorned
by the garlands twined with round flowers
that bloomed in the long backyard -
and dance! Or smear it over the body!
Or mix it into a paste and write over the palm leaves
by using the tip of the flower, praising the king!
