Prayers Of Sacrifice Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Prayers Of Sacrifice

Stillness coming upon me, testing my mettle, feeling my strength as I sit and write about life along with it's trials and suffering.
Plaintive cries sent to other worlds in pious prayers of sacrifice.
Always left unanswered, lives are continually emptied and put on shelves to wither and die, like winter leaves falling from cold, bare branches, left freezing in the cold.
