Preachings Poem by Randy McClave

Preachings

I heard many Catholics preach
Unto my soul and belief they wanted to reach,
After I listened to what they did say
Unto God for answers I then did pray.

I heard many Baptist's sermons
My belief was what my soul determines,
I listened to every verse that the preacher did read
Unto God for answers I then did plead.

I heard the other Christian denominations deliver
Unto my thoughts they were a giver,
Then when they told me about forgiveness and sin
For answers from God I did pray again.

I heard the preaching of others everywhere
I heard their verses their beliefs and their every prayer,
They gave their thoughts and interpretations of what they read
I again asked God for answers when I went to bed.

I heard all the other religions speak
The truth and teachings of Jesus I soulfully did seek,
So, for my own spiritual revival
I decided to enter a closet and read alone the King James Bible.
