Precious Prize Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Precious Prize

I remained speechless
With frozen face
And no strength to speak
I felt internally dump and weak

“Yes, she must be meant”
As I learnt
The fact today
She was passing on the way

I forced my way to increase speed
With no lust or greed
But to express what I thought!
And almost saw at her to be plainly sight

“I know, I know” she stood abruptly
You are right person but say rightly
That you shall be all for me
Totally devoted and free

I was delighted to hear
Her words felled like fragrance from flower
I had my sunny day with all surprises
To have the biggest and precious prize
