Preferring Honesty Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Preferring Honesty

Listening to people, watching their faces, looking
into their eyes, seeing truth or lies touching my
mind, instantaneously.

This mind accepting or rejecting what is being said
to me, not liking illusions, seeing right through
them, turning from them always.

Preferring honesty from everyone I meet, having many
friends that are above board whom I can trust totally,
not wanting to be lied to either.

It disrupts my sense of values and I don't like to be
associated with people that can never tell the truth,
never able to know where they stand on anything.
