Preferring Solitary Alonement Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Preferring Solitary Alonement

Long-lost memories lying in past rhymes of life
and music, portraying sensations of a life fill-
ed with love and laughter.

Now floating upon the surface of a interior ocean,
taking this being out to sea, not wanting to be
here any more.

Preferring solitary alonement on a lonely island
in the middle of the sea, far from humanity and
its loneliness, traveling in rafts of yesterday's
memories.
