Presidential Caucus - 2016 Poem by Darwin Henry Beuning

Presidential Caucus - 2016

Utah's big day
In the spotlight
'22 March 2016'

Political gathering
'Caucus'
Davis High School

Scheduled in the evening
Hundreds did attend
Starting at Seven PM

It was very orderly
And everyone
'Well behaved'

It felt more like
'A family gathering'
Than a political event

When the smoke had cleared
And all was
'Said and done'

The results
'Kaysville 10'

Cruz - 111
Kasich - 14
Trump - 6

'Democracy In Action'

I am impressed by the number of people there and the vote count, in which Trump did not do well.

I missed seeing you at Davis High yesterday, since we are in different districts. Wow! Amazing how many people were there! You are living up to your reputation as the Poet of Current Events.
