Prestidigitation Poem by Oyekake Satty (O S) Joshua

Prestidigitation

Still His tenets unveiled
At the house of worship
And on a lectern display
And words rare and dear
To keep scores guarded

But many generations
Embossed in a tongue
Indistinct and obscure
Thus, to the laity veiled
And by prestidigitation
Millions they held prey

And thus by their sway
Their legerdemain stood
To lead multitudes astray
And back to the assailant
Their errant covin realized

Now the word uncovered
In many native languages
That you may comprehend
That their prestidigitation
May now be unproductive
