Pretending - Poem by Heather Burns

There
are things
we tolerate.

could it be
an act of
fate?

situations
aren't
always
pleasant
you see.

sometimes
pretending
is the key.

then they
act
silent and
sincere

watch them
closely
when no one
is near.
