Pride ~ 03/28/2004 Poem by Loretta Rowley

This poem was inspired by my cousin Jen. She is one of the smartest people I know and she has made some great accomplishments and I am proud of her.

To look at a person with such pride.
It is what many yearn for in life.
To feel pride in oneself to this extent,
Is to know you've accomplished a great task.
To hold your head up to know and not just think.
It is a victorious feeling you hope comes again.
To keep the faith and never give up,
Is the only way to be that person you want so much.
To be looked at by so many with pride.
It is something you will cheerish for eternity.
