Prince Of The Night Poem by Airda Jones

Prince Of The Night

Like a warm wind
Or a gentle breeze
That stirs up
The brittle leaves
Hiding among the
Shaded trees
I know that
He will come to me

Disguised by shadows
He hides by day
But at night
He will make his way
The moon rises
He will finally stay
In my lover's arms
I will lay

As a kiss
Begs to be taken
Warm moments that
Leave my heart shaken
For once in my life
I am waken
But as dawn rises
The sun leaves me forsaken

With a bow
He will bid good bye
With a shining promise
In his eye
To return again
Come the night
And farewell isn't forever
For him and I

As long as
The sun brings time
Any way to come
He will find
With one night
We will forever bind
Then when the day comes
He will finally be all mine.
