Prismatic Observations Poem by Jonathan ROBIN

Prismatic Observations

Rating: 5.0

PRISMATIC OBSERVATIONS
Few share, most from self-knowledge shrink,
fear fragility in all that matters,
form's fiction dressed as causal link
providing prism self-image flatters -
self-fulfilling dish. Who's dished, who'd wink?
who cares to think Time tears to tatters.
Ambitions, aspirations, sink,
faith's wraith, its adepts mad as hatters,
Gather roses when in the pink
of youth, prime reign soon pitter patters
defeating claims as gale force batters
hale whose decline beyond the brink
is factored into fate, in sync
with evolution's background chatters
devoid of judgement. Bias shatters
as light prismatic splits then recombines,
gains polychrome perspective insight mines.

PRISMATIC OBSERVATIONS
Few share, most from self-knowledge shrink,
fear fragility in all that matters,
form's fiction dressed as causal link
providing prism which self-image flatters -
self-fulfilling dish. Who's dished, who'd wink?
or care to think, life soon torn to tatters,

Sharing opens fresh perspective's pane,
light split then recombined sheds masks, sped pain.
