Problem Poem by Marcquiese Burrell

Problem

Conflict presented itself in our relationship
Can the damages be mended?
When we've gone through a string of disagreements
The road to pain is relevant here, Isn't it obvious to breakup
You Think it will get better, But I see no resolution
Which caused me to find love in another
Acknowledging that my actions are wrong
Just us being together doesn't make things right either
Everytime I've found the courage to say it's over
You suggest that it's unspeakable and never to mention it again
Leaving both parties miserable
What horrifies you the most about breakups?
Maybe past experiences taught you to abstain
Don't continue to convince yourself everything is okay
Because everything isn't okay
You're in denial, don't you see that neither one of us is happy
Why hurt? When we can go seperate ways
Free yourself of the agony, Don't struggle with the truth
I know it's hard to let go, But you must it's all for the better.
