It's something
that all of us do
at one time or another.
It's usually not intentional
but it just
has a way
of creeping into
your daily
functions and obligations.
It's not harmful
or obnoxious in any sense
of the imagination
and at times
can be considered
a form of meditation
with a casual twist
while you waste away
the minutes and hours
never understanding
what the rush is all about
when your endeavors
have no real urgency.
There must be something in the air, on this site! Very interesting poem you have written. I just wrote one on 10-29-19 entitled 'If it wasn't for the last minute, nothing would get done', dedicated to procrastinators everywhere! You may want to read it. Is procrastination something common to poets? Interesting question worth investigating. If so, it must have something to do with the way our brains are wired.
Beautiful poem on procrastination. Thanks for sharing. Please kindly check my poems HOPE and THE BEAUTY OF DEATH and leave your comments.

A gentle, kind view of this weakness most of us have. Sometimes, though, it can be quite a serious flaw, don't you think? And cause some real problems.
