Prodigal Child Poem by Ima Ryma

Prodigal Child

Rating: 5.0

I don't remember just when I
Did learn that you were guiding me
On my journey and I should try,
Father, a better person be.
But once I learned that you were with
Me anytime and anyplace,
I oft accused you be a myth.
Father, I pushed away your grace.
But even in bad times I would
Remember that a faith in you
Gives me direction to live good.
Father, please help me to love true.

When into darkness I do roam,
Father, you keep guiding me home.
