Northern tree shrew, Minnie, does do
Close up for the picture taker
Here at home in Lincoln Park Zoo,
Providing memory maker
Of her, detailed in time and place,
Presenting a pose of profile,
Showing off half her pretty face,
And letting be seen half her smile.
And one of two front paws does hold
A potential food item that
A lick or two and she'll be told
If to munch in her habitat.
Many a picture's taken when
Minnie's about to munch again.
