Programmable Shames Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Programmable Shames

Strategic.
Systematic and planned.
Programmable shames.
Bought to sell and sold.
To you. Me.
And so many others.
Looking for more,
Than made to plug up holes...
In a dam promising to overflow,
A flooding of a disaster.
Everyone these days should know,
Who it was that turned on the tap.
Thinking that...
A little dribble from a faucet.
Would never create,
Worldwide division and hatred to spread.
With a doing done coming from one,
Followed and supported.
To discover it found too late all around,
That everything someone like this touches...
Dies.
Seldom leaving anyone to survive,
Left to claim their sanity.
