Promises, Rites And Hope For Some. - Poem by supratim chaliha

Touched! O ye Scriptures
O, Holy words,
Charmed by your promises sweet
Bewitched by your words.

The world handed you to me
When ice was all the way,
The ice of the city black
And cold like the dead!

Bludgeon seemed the world then
Even seems it now! !
Their words assaulted
And deeds whipped
And I bleeded all the way..

Almanac, prophecies pray and rites
Cloyed my belly and vomitted blood,
But hovel is still there..
Do you know?

Hoaxes they still play
As syphilis plays with life!

Syncronicity happened
At the time so weird,
I ran through the solitary streets
With lightning over head!

Dared not to satirize
As wrapped by your vows,
But when felt you molest me,
So shibboleth seems it now!

Chosed you as the companion best
But can I dream to get?
As nine years I've waited
But crows I only met.

Masochist it turned me
Stigmatise myself now,
Possesed by the demons more,
When dreams that you are gone!

Quarantine is a reality now
But it wont last for sure (?)
Thatswhy I am waiting still
For your friendship pure!
