Prophecy Poem by Cynthia Buhain-baello

Prophecy

Because the land is filthy
And its people are in rebellion,
Wrong is exalted iniquity
Their minds warped in corruption.

Evil is regarded as justice,
And violence on women as fun.
God's wrath will void their peace
They're judged for all they've done.

Mocking the Ten Commandments,
Denying God's existence,
These vain fools reap His judgment
Their punishment, so immense.

For history recorded the fate
Of the arrogant rulers on earth,
Dust they became, however great-
And their souls faced eternal worth.
