Prophet Papa Poem by Putholi Arumugham

Prophet Papa

Rating: 5.0

'Love is a sewage
I have known it from my age'
My father adviced.
I fell at his feet the very moment
'Dad you are a phrophet'
'Have you realised? '
affectionately dad lifted me
I said ' No dad
just now I am able to realise
why you called me pig all these days'

Ha! That's funny. Substantial. I like the conversational take - makes it all the more true/real.

This is so touching. This reflects every truth that there is in love - that man suffers for it, longs for it, and desires to drown in its abysmal depths all for the sake of being in love. Man's nature is to love, and saying that love hurts does not deter man's desire to experience it. So deep. I love it!
