I humbled myself upon one knee
As though in attempt for an apology,
Trembling I opened the treasured box
Which hold the key to many locks.
Truly a loving plea.
In the box is the key to my very heart
Which allows true love to finally start,
And it's also the key to my everlasting soul
To make a person completely whole.
From which I would never part.
My heart then began to sing
As I ask her to wear this ring,
The ring that proves that we are one
From this day forward, and forever on.
Togetherness, it would bring.
I asked her then to be my spouse
I asked her then to be the queen of my house,
My partner and also my mate
I want her to be my fate.
"My Wife", I want embroidered on her blouse.
Now I wait nervously for her answer to express
As I think of her in a white wedding dress,
Will she or won't she want to be my wife
Will she or won't she want to share my life.
I hope that the answer is a definite, "Yes".
