Protector Poem by Dónall Dempsey

Protector

Rating: 5.0

I smile
at the flower.

Pat it gently
with my fingertips.

It grows on stone walls
& houses

& supposedly protects
against lightning.

I smile again

this little flower

defying the might
of the Heavens.

*****
This little wildflower is called stonecrop or houseleek although it may have other names to its name.
