Proud Mother Poem by Randy McClave

Proud Mother

Upon the clouds she walks
Whenever about her son she talks,
Her son has made his mother so proud
So, she stays lifted upon a cloud.
She raised a child unto an adult
His beliefs and attributes she did catapult,
He always obeyed her main golden rule
As she sent him off to school.
Now over there sits that proud mama
Relieved of so much stress and trauma,
She sits and excitedly waits for the music to start
But, first she slows down her excited heart.
With pride she should be wearing a crown
As her son is wearing his cap and gown.
No longer is she hoping or waiting;
Tonight, he is graduating.
