Pulse Of Harmony Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Pulse Of Harmony

Feeling the chilly pulse of harmony lighting the fire of
energy in children present here tonight, going up on the
steps, dancing, clapping their hands.

Watching one another in wonder, thinking what to do next,
I'm sure, watching pictures of artic penguins, polar bears,
and imagining all sorts of things.

Ideas and images roaming through their innocent little minds,
questioning what they're seeing, trying to relate to it all,
while music tempts and captures their full attention.

Creating and developing ideas that have never been seen in
their childish minds before, borders opening wider, thinking
outside the box of colors.

Striding into outer dimensions and universes of mind and in-
tellect, their hearts attuned to melodies and harmonies being
played as they watch.

Engrossed in the rhythms, wondering what to do next, imagery
playing it's part through portraits of innocent minds and
intellects.

While their hearts continue to beat ever so slightly as the
hour of this night now begins to dictate that its' almost
time to fall asleep in the gentle pulse of the beat.
