Purple Rain Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Purple Rain

Purple rain

He sings, and I fly
-on the waves of guitar
-travel, leap in time.

I am young, very young
-without pain of wife, child
-united we seek peace, avoid war…

Love to read and add on
-to knowledge and courage
-to love all, and be loved:
- "Socialize, socialize;
-unite the Black-White."

See me there in concert
-sitting there on the floor
-band stands in front
-with guitars and drums
-playing heavy metal.

They are my favourites,
-the "Iron Butterfly."

Now, here, in changed-world
-feel useless, far too old
-where has gone Woodstock?

Why no one sings a song
-to ask for an F, then for the
-U and C, ending, K?

Where has gone my Jimi,
-the Hendrix
-who played music
-using his great teeth?

Want to go to Big Sur
-with hippies talk and share
-what I have, what is theirs…

Hate these days' selfishness!
