Quiet Poem by Nicholas Smith

Quiet

Quiet
Cause I can be
Ain't nothing wrong with me
so stop asking

Ok so maybe something's up
Like trying to be a good person but I gets no luck
Seems like everybody's only your friend when you got a buck to spend on them
Like they life depend on your currency so currently
I stay quiet head bobbing earphones in listening to Young Roddy

Cause maybe this JetLife could lead me to a next life where I won't have to hear the gossip or drama of the halls
Everyone has a story to tell yet no one knows it all my my my how the lies grow so tall therefore I fall back

Absorbing it becoming quite fatigue at the repetitious act maybe I should find a girl & try to relax but wait don't you remember?
That cold day in December?
You moved and she moved on she got a new n*gga
Yea you loved her and you still do but that doesn't matter

She ordered a new platter despite how good the dish
You tried to do the same and everything looked delish
But the menu didn't have 'Emani' as you had wished
So you left the restaurant and went home kind of pissed
Thinking 'why'd it have to be like this? '
Missing her everyday trying to find a way to leave it in the past

Yet you cannot and all you are left with is memories and the air you breathe
So sit back and breathe and remember cause every time I remember the pain goes away a little
The fog gets a bit clearer about that cold day in December

Your lips touching mine so tender
Beautiful in every way body so slender
We shared a love so loud you could hear it from afar
but now that it is silenced we are
Quiet
