Raccoon Eyes Poem by Ray Mesa

Raccoon Eyes

Drawing a line she looks my way
About the same time, every day
And in this secound, I look right back
Right back, At two eyes smothered between black
Raccoon Eyes, I'll give you my seed
My keys, My pennies, My shoes, I 'll give you all of me
Just if you keep your head cocked, Locked towards me
Cuz' It's the damn greatest thing I've ever seen

And when the bed shakes, So do all those chains you got on my heart
Oh raccoon eyes you got me complexed
And when I think of you I just can't get no rest
becuase your eyes, Are your best part

She's got friends from miles away
And she's got a boyfriend sitting in a car outside
But when she looks my way
I'm her only guy

It never rains when she looks at me
And it sure as hell never stops shineing
She's an angel walking
But the sad thing is she's always hideing
Always hideing those pretty eyes
