Rage. Poem by Daniel Gelinas

Rage.

Rating: 4.0

Red hot anger curls itself around his mind as easily as anything.

His mind plagued by visions of passionate, uninhibited acts of rage, trivial in nature.

The rage cooks his insides with the heat of a fire fueled by the spitting demons of despair and loss.

The demons spread their wings and chorus at their own volition.

His sanity teeters on the brink, his body heaving, his mind racing.

However with such thought comes an unexplained clarity like a cooling shower after a bout of boiling flu.

Relief spreads across his shaking frame as easily as pencil across a page.

A calming breath is exhaled, his shaking eased, his mind his own once again.

A very expressive description of rage and then control. Essentially, a look inside the mind. Well done. GW62
