Rain Poem by Sankhajit Bhattacharjee

Rain

Rating: 5.0

The grey sky will break apart and fall on this earth-
this earth will be washed away and wiped out too...
It's raining in cats and dogs.
I stand on the balcony beside a window.
It's raining after a long summer-
the soothing water is putting off the hot oven.
O, I can't see any more-
all are becoming hazy, my life too.
My hands are empty, my eyes are fixed,
my mind is roaming elsewhere, my heart is weeping in joy...

Your description of a hard, cooling, quenching rain is very vivid and enjoyable.
