Rain Called Leah Poem by Adrian Antique

Rain Called Leah

I still remember us watching the giants dancing -
we were the voice and laughter of their musical string …
for years, I thought I had lost our songs with your fading
but then this young man with your face started singing.

beyond our only son's shadow, it is you I see …
more than the tunes I hear and what he dreams to be …
is you wishing for little crayons to paint his favorite tree;
so, although I may seem alone, you never really left me.

from sunrise till sunset, a quiet scent of flowers everywhere …
angel dusts and rainbow colors mixing with the air …
moonlight while we sleep, soft sparkles in our hair …
breath of day and dark of night, you are always there.

in frolic on a field of green, restless petals with heaven's wings …
you will always be the wind in our melody of two kings.
wherever you are I can still feel your touch in many things -
be my rainfall through the deserts that this short journey brings.

even with grey clouds, we took weekend walks with our butterflies.
we took turns carrying Joshua while he slept with our lullabies.
and my path continues on, at times flooded with tears from those skies
but it's okay because every raindrop is you in my eyes.
