Rain, Go Away Poem by Randy McClave

Rain, Go Away

Rain, rain please go away
And come back another day,
But, the more I recite and the more I say
Looks like you're going to stay.
So, in my boat or yard I cannot play.

Rain, rain please disappear
I'm so tired of Mother Nature's tear,
Today I do not want you to be here
How much of you must I endear.
I can't get in my yard or on my pier.

Rain, rain please go and leave
To me and others you did deceive,
When too much rain we did receive
Mother Nature you now cause us to cry and grieve.
To enjoy the outdoors I was so naive.

Rain, rain I like to give you the boot
Storms and flooding in my mind you did pollute,
With your reasoning I have a verbal dispute
Why rain are you to me such a vicious brute.
Instead of wearing a bikini she's now wearing a rain-suit.

Rain, rain please depart
You have saddened my soul and now my heart,
From the outside I must now part
And inside I'll go to tumble or do art.
I finished this poem as our crying again does start.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I was inspired by the old nursery rhyme, "rain, rain go away", my version pertains to all the rain that we're getting in my area, and I can't go out and enjoy my pool ar my boat, or able to see one of my female friends in her bikini.
