Rain! Rain! Pour Again! Poem by Rajendran Muthiah

The atheists plant saplings
to make the world green
and bring the rains from above.

The ministers dipped deep in Vedhas
suggest people to say prayers to gods
for the shower of abundant rains.

Students who think and study Science,
cry aloud in the grip of chaos
not knowing who look correct.

What ‘meteorology’ predicts goes wrong
and the people for freebies in ration shops throng.
Till then, the rains must lie in wait before the assault.
