Rain Rain Rain

Rating: 5.0

Rain rain rain

I see the rain falling
We been forever calling
for an end to this cruel drought
People and animals food without
Our farming economy sliding,
backwards mothers and children crying

A farmer's blood on the boil
Eager to plough and work the soil
It's been three long painful years
nation shedding crocodile tears
People struggling and starving
Donor vultures divisions causing
Trying to influence the nation
With a tainted donor ration

We are not a lazy people
We are not loafers or feeble
Like everywhere else on earth
Global warming causing death
Then adding salt to injury, Covid!
All over the world situation morbid

In the middle of abject despair
The human soul in disrepair
God is having a serious conversation
with His creation, is my observation
There are those who were wearing His shoes
not knowing size of His shoe will contuse
As Jesus said "Give to Caesar what belongs to Caesar"
So shall it be. Be warned all who play God. Cease it! Aah! ! !

I am not into religion, God forbid!
Religion achieving nothing concrete
But i see God everywhere
Omni present but nowhere
In my home
When i am alone
In other humans
Male, female or the shoeman

Rain clouds rain rain rain
Wash away our life strain
Wring cumulonimbus dry
Let the heavens let loose and cry
Embarass them who are sly
Profiting from those in drought die
Instead of spreading the love of God
Siphoning our diamonds and gold
