Rain, Rain, Rain! Poem by Charles Jagongo

Rain, Rain, Rain!

Rating: 4.0

Rain, rain, rain
As kids, by then
We played in pools
And chased butterflies
Beautiful were flowers
Rain, rain, rain
Splish, splash, splosh
Warming is my heart, rain
This night, all come, sleepiness
Your song. My lullaby, rain
Rain, rain, rain
Happy kids and butterflies
Rain
Warm hearts and lullabies
Rain, rain, rain.

A sonorous piece of poetry conveying nostalgic memories of childhood, well articulated and elegantly brought forth with conviction. A highly relatable experience. Thanks for sharing Charles.

Its lullaby to sleepless eyes. Good right.

You captured the whole feeling here. It was like I was seeing this all play before my eyes. Brillant!
