Rainstorm Poem by Amber Piercy

Rainstorm

Rainstorm

If I could sing a melody
What song would you like to hear
Would it come for me
And flow into your ear

Was the oceans rejoice
As the lyrics flow out
Would they have a choice
If the voices scream and shout

Would the Earth begin to crumble
Under our feet
Would my body tremble
Has your voice becomes sweet

Would I dance in this rain
As I sing this song
Thunder makes me insane
As you dance along

You are my love, my fighter, my everything
Sometimes I forget to tell you
But as I begin to sing
The love shines through

I'm sorry for being ugly
That's not fair
I'm sorry for causing insanity
And making you rip out what's left of your hair

I hope you can forgive me
For everything that I've done
You make me so happy
You've helped me see the sun

I will try to treat you better
Even on my darkest days
No matter the weather
I love you in so many ways
