Ran Out Of Time Poem by Leanna Page Markgraf

Ran Out Of Time

I kept quiet
Because I believed I had more time.
I never thought I would have to say goodbye
to my friend, my partner in crime.

Yet, Life can be so cruel
as we are left wondering why?
You fought until the end,
and now you are free to fly.

I know you no longer suffer
And can feel peace instead of pain.
But now I am here without you,
with nothing left to gain.

I should have told you sooner
About the deep love that I felt.
Instead now I must play
With the hand that I was dealt.

Regret is worse than losing you
You will live on in my heart and mind.
never again will I make the mistake of
running out of time.
