Rani Of Jhansi Poem by Ima Ryma

Rani Of Jhansi

Rani of Jhansi refused to
Let her India be kept down,
And did what she did have to do,
Put armor over queenly gown,
And fought the British day and night,
Rebelling against tyranny.
With sword in hand she led the fight
So that independence might be.
In 1858 she lead
Her army against British foe.
Just age 30 she was shot dead,
Ashes buried, freedom to sow.

Rani of Jhansi fought to make
India free for future sake.
