Rantings Poem by Shruti Goswami

Rantings

In a disastrous mind,
With faults of its own,
Shortcomings galore;
Tis but a few times,
Wonder strikes.
And then the tears,
Taste sugary,
The fears, bearable;
The wait, tolerable;
But the pain:
Devastating.
There's a small mistake:
The pain, it's not in the mind;
It's the heart that bears the brunt.
Starts bearing,
And then transcends boundaries,
Seeps into the mind.
Serves one right;
Giving priviledge to the heart o'er mind.
But I am one of a kind.
So listen, do not judge;
The drops that gather;
Just won't budge,
So let it be,
In all probability;
A private emotion.
If you cannot let me be;
You do not have a right to see;
The inner workings of a twisted mind;
More often than not defeated and blind.
Still, if I do say,
You're welcome to search and find;
Would you ignore it; do you mind?

a poem pervaded with tears, private agony, hope and desperation, , apprehensions and optimism juxtaposed, , it is a pleading to another character, , there is a wishful thinking..'wish if you were as sensitive as me'' but, , , , , , , there is a huge gulf, , , , a chasm...which needs to be bridged, , , the rantings need to be metamorphosed into a serene state of belongingness, , , thanx for such a poem, , it sets the tone to brood more and read no more new poems today, , the cup is full today, , thanx
